How to set up Google Search Console for Your Website

One of the first and most crucial steps for SEO analysis of a website is to use Google’s free tool, Google Search Console. This tool allows for technical settings and the analysis of organic traffic. In the following, we will explain step by step how to connect your website to Google Search Console (GSC).

  • In Google Search Console select those settings: 
  • Copy and paste the provided TXT record from Google Search Console into your DNS settings on your web hosting provider’s website.
    The exact location of DNS settings may vary based on your hosting provider. Here are 2 examples where can you add DNS record:

  • Return to the Google Search Console tab and click “Verify”.
  • If everything was correct, you should see this window:

3. After creating the domain property, you can add a new user.

  • Open the Users and permissions page in property settings (Settings > Users and permissions). This page is visible only if you’re a property owner.
  • Click Add user
  • Enter the Google Account name and choose “Owner” as the role.
  • Save your changes.
